Magnettes & Steam, 31st March 2018
Easter Saturday wasn’t ideal weather to kick off the Register events season, being cool and damp, but at least the threatened snow didn’t materialize, and Magnettes & Steam at the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway in Oxfordshire was actually quite a successful day.

Kop Hill Climb, 16-17th Sept 2017
The annual Kop Hill Climb event at Princes Risborough (Buckinghamshire) has become a regular fixture for the Register, providing a good opportunity to socialize in the club parking area and plenty of interest watching cars from 1920s onwards on the historic course, as well as many other classics in the static area.

Stockfest car show 20th August 2017
This sounds like it should be a Glastonbury type of event, but is actually a village fete with other attractions including a classic car show. We were first invited to it by the MGA Twin-cam group a couple of years ago, and as the village of Stockcross is conveniently located off the M4 near Newbury, it's been quite a popular day out for Magnette owners. I don't think any of us were energetic enough this time to join the organized 'Rare breeds' scenic drive before the show, settling instead for a later arrival at the show site.

Swindon Steam Museum 22 July 2017
A total of 8 Z Magnettes assembled at the Swindon Steam Museum on Saturday morning, as well as John and Marion Gill from South Wales who are in the process of acquiring a Magnette. Wiltshire owner Mac Pile was strategicallly placed to guide us into the museum entrance and the reserved parking which had been arranged right outside. The building is part of the original Great Western works, which once employed over 10,000 people producing locomotives and rolling stock. It now features fascinating reconstructions of the various workshops, together with several steam engines and displays about the history of the GWR.
