Magnettes & Steam 19th April 2025

Magnette numbers were slightly down on last year for our traditional season opener, due to mechanical and other mishaps suffered by several owners. Nevertheless we had 7 Zs and a Farina Magnette at Wirksworth station on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway.

Kop Hill Climb 14/15th September 2024

Our traditional visit to the historic hill climb in Princes Risborough. As well as a static Magnette display in the club area, Roger England and Dominic Taylor-Lane drove the hill

Lou Shorten weekend 5-6th October 2024

This was our last event of the year and was well attended as usual. On Saturday we assembled at John Shorten's for the usual buffet lunch and a talk by John Beesley about his experience with steam locomotives - his other hobby - and particularly boilers

Inter-club weekend 28-30 June 2024

MGs were for once in the minority at this event which involved a large Triumph TR Register presence and a number of other car clubs as well as MGCC. Hosted in the Three Counties Showground, close to the beautiful Malvern hills, most MGs were mixed together in one parking area, where the Register stands were also located.

MGs in the Park 19th June 2024

Magnettes were on display at the MGOC 'MGs in the Park' event at the Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford.

MG100 Cavalcade and South-East Centre weekend

As part of the MG centenary celebration, a cavalcade travelled from John O' Groats to Lands End, with some MGs making the whole journey, and many others joining for sections. Magnettes were well represented, with Clive Webb Longbridge to Gaydon, Paul Batho on the Abingdon to Baldock leg, and Jack and Kevin Skuce joining Bob Williamson for Baldock to Dartford
