Magnettes & Spies

A visit to Bletchley Park (near Milton Keynes) home of the WWII codebreakers, which is now a museum showing the wartime activities and development of early computers.  If using sat-nav please look out for brown road signs, as the postcode may not take you exactly to the entrance, which is opposite the railway station.

There is a discount on entry price to £15.50 (MGCC members) or £16 (non-members) but to take advantage of this you must confirm with John Harris in advance, and return this form with cheque by 1 April


Magnettes & Steam

Later than usual, this traditional event will be at the Dean Forest Railway, Gloucestershire, and if you wish to make a weekend of it there is hotel and self-catering accommodation available - see wyedeantourism.co.uk. There is also a possibility of an organized railway workshop visit on Sunday 5th - check here for updated information

First train is 10.30am, taking about an hour and a half for the round trip to Parkend then Lydney and back - but you may wish to spend some time in Lydney as well. Day Rover tickets are normally £13 (£12 concessions) but if sufficient people confirm with David Griffiths in advance it may be possible to secure a 15% group discount - in any case please phone David on 01423 873132 if planning to come, so parking space can be reserved



Silverstone weekend - MG Live

Once more it is time for the annual bonanza of motor racing, chatting to friends and making new ones, and touring all the stands. More details will appear in Safety Fast and on mgcc.co.uk/mglive



23rd  Z Magnette Day

The annual European Z Magnette Day, to be held in the Baden-Württemberg area of Germany. More details to follow

Harrogate MG Show

A weekend event organized by Harrogate MG Club at Bewerley Park, Pateley Bridge, HG3 5BD.


 Kop - Hill hill climb

Again an opportunity to drive this historic course or display your Magnette as part of the club exhibit or classic car display , but to do so you will have to register on the Kop-Hill web site when it's been updated for 2019.  Although shown as a 2 day event you can book for a single day only. The register organiser is David Halliday.


Lou Shorten Tribute Meeting

Our traditional end of season event this year includes Saturday open house at John Shorten's (44 The Street, Lenwade NR9 5SD), followed by an evening dinner and prize-giving. On Sunday a visit to Bressingham Gardens and 'Dad's Army' museum is being organized
