Magnettes & Steam 2004

at the Holden Staion/Swanage Dorset, UK

Alan Slack organised a very good, well publicised and suitably informal Magnettes and Steam event in a very pleasant part of Dorset at the Station heading the steam line to Corfe Castle and Swanage on 10th April.

Norwich Event 2003

all pictures and report by Andy Dear, UK

I don't make a good reporter as I tend to go off and do my own thing when I should be paying attention to what everyone else is doing.
However the Open Day at Lenwade on the Saturday was an irresistible attraction not just for me for me but also a good many others. I spent a most enjoyable time at the Shorten's place talking Magnette to other owners and discussing repair techniques with John and Lou, drinking the coffee and eating the sandwiches and sausage rolls and other delicacies they kindly provided.

Sledmere 2003

The weekend really started on the Friday evening around the Barbie at the most excellent campsite or for some like myself and Gwen in the local pub, The Triton all part of the Sledmere Estate.

Silverstone 2003

Race number 12 was the Thornley Trophy and there was one Magnette driven by Mike Yarney, this was the car owned by Roger Andreson, it's good to see it racing again, it did come in last but we don't mention that, it was up again some tough opposition.
