3.9 rear ends are quite rare, Farinas Oxfords and A60s etc.and MGAs ran 4.3 rear ends are are easier to find, it is worth trying to find the fine spline diff and Farina half shafts, seem a little stronger.
With a 5 speed and 1500 engine this is probably about right although opinions vary on this. If you go this route by using a Magnette Farina speedo it is almost correctly geared
Just a thought worth considering

Has anyone got a 3.9 differential to fit a ZA?

Or a 5 speed gearbox conversion
