OK, so now we have the new engine in the car, we have a few bits for sale.
I would prefer this to be a job lot, it was removed from a ZB Magnette 3 weeks ago, all running well.
3 bearing 1800 engine complete (inc all ancillaries), 3 synchro O/D gearbox, thick core radiator, propshaft and stainless exhaust.
I have no history on any of this, but was fitted to the Magnette in the early ‘80s. The engine has good oil pressure, 50 lbs + on idle. It does not use any oil, but has some external leaks which will need addressing. The gearbox has a weak 2nd gear synchro (quite a common fault). The radiator is quite heavy, compared to the new one we have fitted, so could require some attention. The propshaft was badly fabricated (too long), there is another shaft that comes included (needs modifying using parts from the original).
This engine will fit straight into a Z Magnette (has the right sump etc).
