Silverstone 2001
Silvertone 2001 will be in our memory as one of the hottest Silvestone MG-events during the last 50 years.
It's really very easy to give it this accolade as it's always very cold, wet and windy. But this year it was different: it really was summer. The Register parking area saw 13 Magnettes on Saturday and 15 on Sunday plus two in the Concours.
The trade stands were generally expensive and offered nothing much for Magnette owners, except the specialists Lou & John Shorten and NTG. The only other parts I saw between tons of MGB scrap were one gearbox for 35 Pounds and one damaged and over priced grille.
