Z-Magnette Day 2003
in Bruge/Belgium
Fine weather, fine people, fine cars - means another fantastic (or should I say magnettic?) event! The 7th edition of the Z-Magnette Day was another highlight in this years events calendar for Magnette owners. With 17 Magnettes, amoung them only one ordinary ZB, the event was a great success. Surely the location of the wonderful old town of Bruge and the short distance for the British visitors helped to become so many cars together.
Those who followed Eddy Lepez' invitation spent some lovely relaxed days amoung likeminded.
It started on a warm Friday evening, when the Roeselare brewery spent 10,000 litres free beer (not only for us!) and we were sitting on the marketplace.
On Saturday we went for scenic drive. We stopped at a planetarium where we had a real good laser show of the southern hemisphaere. Then we headed to another show, where we were instructed in model helicopter flying. Ah, should I say that in between we had another taste of Belgium beer with up to 9.5 o/o? Before we spent the evening with a good meal (and some more beer) we had a competion: everybody received a painting of Bruge with a colourless ZA. Armand Joseph managed this task best and received a nice price.
The Ray Cain Trophy went to John Kusters, who finished the 2 1/2 year restoration of his green/green Varitone just the day before the event. That's really just in time!
