This will only work if it is a Banjo axle, if by tube axle you mean Salisbury axle, the parts are not compatible or interchangable

GOOD NEWS:
There is a 3.907 diff in an MGB disc wheel tube axle for sale in Safety Fast.This is compatible with a Z Magnette I am sure.£90
NOT SO GOOD NEWS!: It is in the Isle of Man!!
