KA D 23 13937 The first owner of this magnette was a docto, who imported her from england after his graduatearound 1960. He still is a Prof. and teaching at siriraj hospital in Bangkok. I work at the north of thailand. I saw her at a garage in good condition only the backlights are changed over from a VW Beetle. I was told the looks like nissan j15. |

1251 |
KA A 33 1251 This car is an unrestored early version of the MG Magnette ZA. Since it has Chassis number 1251 it is exactly the 750th Magnette ever build! Of course it has the tin-top dashboard. I bought the car in Belgium and it is an original Belgium car originally delivered by “Romain Richard & Fils” in Namur on 3th of December 1954 (date of the first registration). According to the Hertitage certificate the Date of Build is 12-21 May 1954 and it has been despatched on 24 May 1954. The car has been in Belgium ever since until end of 2012 when I have imported it to the Netherlands were it got the Dutch license plate AR-64-17. Since it has been an original Belgium car it has of course Left Hand Drive and it has a kilometre speedometer. Although it is an unrestored car prior to the official Dutch registration the complete brake system and the front wheel suspension has been reconditioned. A new stainless steel exhaust has been fitted, the fuel hoses are renewed, same with the cooling hoses, the carburettors recalibrated and a master electrical switch (battery cut off) has been fitted. And at last rear seat belts has been fitted to accommodate two child seats. Since then we made some fabulous trips with our two small children on the back seat but sometimes they may play on the front seats (which the prever!). |

KA BJ 33 21700 Original Duch car with orig. registration. Car bought new by fam. Van den Brink at Garage Bolland in The Hague. Second owner was a mechanic, who bougt the car in 1969 from the garage where the car traded in and kept it a few years. Third owner was Hielke dam from Heerenveen, who kept it from about 1970 till about 1979. Fourth owner was Piet Jan van Duren at Ruinen. he owned the car untill November 7th of 1984 and sold it to the 5th owner Oebele Bruinsma at Roden. After a year he brought the car back to Piet Jan van Duren. On February 20th of 1987 I bought the car and so I believe I am the 6th owner. Car is, after it has been used as the second family car until 1995, under restoration and waiting for completion. |

Maroon with biscuit interior and with fitted radio went to University Motors, London, where press launch party was held in the presence of Thornley, Palmer and other luminaries. This picture taken from Palmer's Autobiography (see books) which is titled "...Here am I speaking at the London launch of the Magnette". So I assume the car in front is #504. |
