The picture was taken on the Albula Pass (Canton of Grisons, Switzerland) at an altitude of about 2100 m. The car is an exellent climber and until now I never had problems with overheating, not even on the Stelvio, with more than 2800 m the peak of all European passes.
The car was first registred in Basel, Switzerland, on October 1st, 1956 as a RHD export version. During the fifties it was not unusual to drive RHD cars in Switzerland. The car always remained in Switzerland, having a extensive restauration in the early eighties. Since then the various previous owners did not use the car often, so it is still in perfect condition and very reliable.

I found his car in october 2003 and found it worth buying. Today in a poor shape and with no engine or gearbox. Ideal donor car for my 15384. A bit too good to scrap though. Maybe in future fit an MGB engine. Time will tell. Per Malmros,Sweden

I am sending photos of the " before and after" restoration project of the MG. Actually I brought the MG back to its original condition and thereafter neglected it very unfortunately. I have however started the Re - Restoration of same and I hope to finish it and have it road worthy once again by the end of the year. You will see from the pic's it was a major job that I performed the first time round. This time however the magnitude is far less I am sure.

The car was an export model purchased in the UK by its original owner with the intention of exporting back to the US. I purchased the car from the estate of a wealthy doctor who used it as his summer car on Long Island, NY. I am its second owner. Apart from a re-spray it has never been restored. I guess he got tired of the original grey - I would too as it is a bit drab! The car was always pampered and has so little rust it's unbelievable. I won't ever restore it as I love the original patina, but now I too am thinking about a slight change of colour. Fashions change you know. Eric Wilson,Vancouver, BC,Canada
Now owned by Adrian Sawyer in Kemptville, Ontario, who is the fourth owner
Changed hands to Michael Middleton in 2014.

Black 1956 car. Body beyond slavage. Good engine, gearbox, diff, mechnicals and a few pannels. A lot of parts were stored inside but the shell was outside and rusted badly. Was advertised for sale here a few years ago - has a multi-coloured bonnet in the ad. Being used as a donor to repower a 1953 Wolseley 4/44 (one of the first cars). Some parts I won't need have already been passed on to other Magnette owners.
